# Delete your HOA HX account

You can delete your HOA HX account and your personal information at any time.

## Moving or selling your home?

Let your HOA know first: in the app, go to **My Home**, then **Ownership transfer**. You can still delete your account afterward.

## In the app

1. Open HOA HX and sign in.
2. Go to **My Account**.
3. Choose **Delete my account and personal data** and follow the steps.

## Without the app

Email [hello@hoahx.com](mailto:hello@hoahx.com?subject=Delete%20my%20account) from the address you use to sign in, with “Delete my account” as the subject.

We’ll check that the request comes from you and confirm by email. We aim to answer within 30 days.

## What happens

- **Right away**: Your account closes. You can no longer sign in, and your access to every community ends.
- **After 30 days**: Your personal details, such as your name, phone number, and profile, are erased. Until then, you can cancel the deletion through HOA HX support.
- **Your community’s records**: Your community keeps its official records, such as dues charges and payments, votes, requests, violations, and the history of changes, as its records require. Your name is replaced with “Former member” wherever they mention you.
